Canadian judoka Shady ElNahas took a silver medal at the Grand Slam in Osaka in 2018. He took bronze at the Grand Slam of Ekaterinburg in 2019. He won the Pan American title in 2019 and 2022 in Lima. He took silver at the Grand Prix in Montreal. He captured the gold medal at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in July. Shady bagged Grand Slam gold in Tbilisi in 2021 and bronze in 2023. He took a fifth place at the Tokyo Games. He took silver at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2021. Shady won the Commonwealth Games in 2022 in Birmingham. He bagged a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi in 2022 and 2023.
