Dutch judoka Ivo Verhorstert became Dutch senior champion in 2018 in Almere. He won the European Cup in Gdynia and Coimbra in 2018. He took bronze with the Dutch team at the European Junior Team Championships in 2018. Ivo won a bronze medal at the European Open in Warsaw in 2020. He claimed the Dutch Junior title in 2020. He won the gold medal at the European Open in Sarajevo in 2021. He claimed the Dutch senior title in 2021 in Almere. He finished with bronze at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2022. Ivo seucred a silver medal at the European Open in Cluj Napoca in 2022 and bronze in Oberwart.
