Serbian judoka Marica Perisic won the Pan American Open in Lima in 2019. She won the Panam Open in Cordoba and Santiago in 2019. Marica took the Junior European title in Porec in 2020 and bronze at the U23 Europeans. She bagged a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Kazan in 2021 and bronze at the Grand Slam Tashkent. She became Serbian senior Champion in 2022 again. In 2022 she captured the European U23 title in Sarajevo. She bagged a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi in 2022. She clinched the gold medal at Grand Slam Tbilisi in 2023.
