Margaux Pinot nominated for the Olympic Games U70kg

In France the selection for the Olympic Games and World Championships was announced. The big question was the position U70kg which was given to Margaux Pinot. Pinot qualified for the Olympic Games overcoming the competition of World Champion Marie-Eve Gahie who will defend her world title at the Worlds in June in Budapest. Technical director Larbi Benboudaoud announced the selection live on social media.

The selection for Tokyo is as follow:

U48kg Shirine Boukli, U52kg Amandine Buchard, U57kg Sarah Leonie Cysique, U63kg Clarisse Agbegnenou, U70kg Margaux Pinot, U78kg Madeleine Malonga +78kg Romane Dicko.

For the World Championships in Budapest the following women were selected:

U48kg Melanie Clement, U52kg Astride Gneto, U57kg Helene Receveaux, U63kg Clarisse Agbegnenou, U70kg Marie-Eve Gahie, U78kg Madeleine Malonga +78kg Julia Tolofua and Lea Fontaine.

Men

Guillaume Chaine was selected to represent the French U73kg. The other U60kg Luka Mkheidze, U66kg Kilian Le Blouch, U73kg Guillaume Chaine, U90kg Axel Clerget, U100 Alex Iddir, +100kg Teddy Riner.

For the World Championships in Budapest the following men were chosen by Larbi Benboudaoud.

U60kg Romaric Bouda and Walide Khyar, U66kg Kilian Le Blouch, U73kg Guillaume Chaine, U81kg Nicolas Chilard, U81kg Alpha Dialo, U90kg Axel Clerget and U100kg Alex Iddir.
