Spanish judoka Laia Talarn from Valencia won the Pan American Open in Santiago in 2014 and collected some more World Cup medals starting in 2013 in Madrid. She is Spanish champion U78kg since 2014. Talarn won the African Open in Port Louis in 2015 and PanAm Open Lima in 2016. She took a bronze medal at the European Open in Lisbon in 2018. She won the European Cup in Malaga in 2018. She won the Spanish title in 2018 in Caceres.
