Japanese judoka Wakana Koga captured the gold medal at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2021. She became world silver medallist in 2021 in Budapest and took bronze in 2023 in Doha. Koga captured the gold at the World U21 Championships in Marrakech in 2019. She claimed bronze at the Grand Slam of Osaka in 2019 and again in Tokyo in 2022. She took a silver medal at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2020 and bronze in 2022. She claimed the victory at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2022. Wakana took gold at the IJF Masters in Jerusalem in 2023.
