Brazilian judoka Erika Miranda was highly successful U52kg. She won five consecutive World Championships medals. Bronze in 2018, 2017, 2015, 2014 and silver in 2013. She won 3 Pan American Championships in 2012, 2014 and 2015 and Panam Games in 2015. She competed at the Olympic Games in 2012 and 2016 (fifth). She won four Grand Slams in her career in Rio, Moscow, Baku and Ekaterinburg and led the World Ranking in 2013 and 6 months 2017-2018. She accounced her retirement in October 2018 and became a federal coach in Bavaria in Germany in 2022.
