Kalpana Devi Thoudam has served in the Indo Tibetian Border Police Force as a constable, Her international career took off with gold medals at the Asian Judo Championships, International Judo Championships in 2010, and Gold at the Commonwealth Judo Championships in the same year. She is also a history maker who became the first-ever Indian to win a medal at the prestigious IJF Grand Prix at Uzbekistan. Her medal tally also includes a bronze won at the Commonwealth Games in 2014. She won the gold medal at the Asian U20 Championships in Sana'a in 2008.
