Barbara van Essen (NED) had an unrivalled feeling for accuracy. She was the one responsible for the data entry side of many historical events. Managing sports data was her passion and JudoInside her platform. She fought with the most obscure judo names and dealt with all obscure events. Your understanding for her added value to the world of judo is her medal. She passed away in 2024 and contributed to the history of judo and made young athletes proud to be recognised. She had had an unmacted fighting spirit. You are in now our hearts. Working and living with you was an honour.
