Former Junior Commonwealth Championships gold medallist Thato Lebang finished a career-best seventh-place at the African Championships this year. Lebang, who comes from his country’s capital city of Gaborone, made his Worlds debut in 2017 where he lost his opening contest against Alexandru Raicu (ROU) via a yoko-shiho-gatame hold down.
