As the countdown to the 2024 Olympic Games enters its final hundred days, anticipation runs high for the French judo team. With a rich history of success in the sport, France has established itself as one of the strongest judo nations, boasting an impressive collection of medals since judo's inclusion in the Olympics in 1964.

Over the years, French judokas have amassed a remarkable 53 individual medals, along with a historic gold in the Mixed Team event. Among these achievements are 15 Olympic titles, a testament to the country's judo prowess. The list of Olympic champions includes iconic names such as Thierry Rey, David Douillet, Teddy Riner, and Clarisse Agbegnenou, who have left an indelible mark on the sport with their stellar performances.

In Tokyo 2020, the French team added to their legacy with an exceptional showing. Alongside their historic Mixed Team gold, individual medals were claimed by Clarisse Agbegnenou, Amandine Buchard, Sarah-Leonie Cysique, Madeleine Malonga, Luka Mkheidze, Teddy Riner, and Romane Dicko.
