Regina Philips, representing West Germany and later Germany, showcased her judo prowess with notable achievements. She secured the Olympic bronze medal in the U56kg category at the 1988 Seoul Games. Prior to this, she claimed bronze at the 1987 World Championships in Essen. Throughout her career, Philips amassed three European medals in 1983, 1984, and 1987. She also dominated the national scene as a multiple-time German champion and achieved success internationally, winning titles at the British, Austrian, and Belgian Open tournaments.
