Judoka Mohammad Rashnonezhad from the Netherlands took a bronze medal at the European Cup in Malaga in 2019. He is part of the Refugee team and participated in many major tournaments such as World Championships and Grand Slam Paris. He visited the IJF head quarters in 2023 for a meeting with IJF President Marius Vizer. He lives in the Netherlands and trains at Papendal training centre. As young athlete he won medals for Iran at Asian youth Championships and he was 7th at Junior Worlds. In 2019 he took bronze at the Belgian Open in Visé.
